This Walk doesn’t just raise money—it moves the needle.
Every step we put behind us helps drive bold, urgent research toward treatments and, one day, a cure for ALS. We walk because waiting isn’t an option.
Here’s the thing about Chattanooga- we take care of our own.
Your participation directly supports people living with ALS and their families right here; through local care resources, education, support groups, and advocacy. When you walk, you’re standing shoulder-to-shoulder with your neighbors. And that’s not just in Chattanooga, we support the entire region that the local ALS Clinic services and that includes NW Georgia too.
How can I register to participate in the 2026 Rise for ALS Chattanooga event?
You can register to participate in the Rise for ALS Chattanooga event right here on our website, it’s FREE. Just head over to “Register to Walk”.

Fundraising A–Z Guide
Rise for ALS Chattanooga, Inc.
Remember: Participation is free. Fundraising is encouraged, never required. Every share helps.
A – Ask
Make a clear, simple ask. One post or message is enough. People want to help — they just need to know how.
B – Birthdays
Ask friends to donate in place of gifts. A birthday post can raise meaningful support with minimal effort.
C – Community
Share in neighborhood groups, church circles, book clubs, and local organizations that already know you.
D – Dedications
Ask donors to give in honor of someone they love and include that name with their donation.
E – Email
Send one short email or group text to family, friends, or coworkers. You don’t need a long explanation.
F – Friends & Family
Your closest circle is often the most supportive. Start here.
G – Gratitude
Thank people publicly when you can. Gratitude encourages others to join in.
H – Honor Walks
Walk in honor or memory of someone affected by ALS and share why it matters to you.
I – Instagram
A single photo with a short caption can go a long way. Stories and shares count too.
J – Join Forces
Team up with someone else — a friend, coworker, or family member — and fundraise together.
K – Kids & Schools
If appropriate, share with school communities, PTA groups, or youth organizations.
L – Local Businesses
Ask a favorite local business to share your fundraiser or match donations for a day.
M – Matching Gifts
Some employers match charitable donations. Encourage donors to check.
N – Networks
Professional networks, alumni groups, and social clubs are great places to share once.
O – One Post Is Enough
You don’t need to post every day. One sincere post can make a difference.
P – Personal Why
Share why you’re walking. A sentence or two is powerful.
Q – Quick Share
Re-sharing the donation link is just as helpful as writing something new.
R – Reminders
A gentle follow-up post is okay — especially as the walk gets closer.
S – Stories
Photos, short videos, or personal reflections help people connect.
T – Teams
Create or join a team to build momentum and community.
U – Update
Let people know how the walk is going or how close you are to your goal.
